The debut single of hers was released in 2015. It was an instant hit that both critics and admirers praised the song. It made it to the top 19 in both Billboard Hot 100 in Canada and on the Canadian Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone listed the smash as one the top Songs of 2015. In that same year she released her debut album Know It All with the third track Scars to Your Beautiful being one of five original tracks which peaked on the Billboard charts, including The Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 as well as the Billboard Hot 100. The track in question was unique because it was based on an interview with the Rap-Up show, many fans related to her journey through self-doubt and discovering how to love herself. Cara's tracks often contain positive thoughts about mental wellness and the importance of being self-love. The music that she has written stems from her personal struggles to conquer mental health issues as well as insomnia. According to a Reuters interview, her album has been described as a halfway tumultuous, half perfected. Therapy helped her grow and she encourages others to seek assistance if needed. Alessia Cara is a Canadian singer who was born on the 11th of July, 1996 to parents of Italian heritage. When she was 10 years old, her parents gifted her a guitar which became the beginning of her passion for music. Three years later, when she was 13 she started singing her favorite tracks through YouTube. It was a great way to showcase to others the fact that she had talent and courage. One of her tracks, Sweater Weather, was what got her noticed. EP Entertainment gave her an opportunity to develop and record her own tracks.
