Her debut track Here was released in the year 2015. The song was widely acclaimed by critics as well as the public. It peaked at number 19 on the Canadian Hot 100 and Billboard Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone ranked the track as one of the year's Top Songs. The singer released her debut Know It All album in the same year. The third single, Scars to Your Beautiful was among five songs that reached the top charts on Billboard as well as the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 in addition to Billboard Hot 100. In an interview that Cara did together with Rap Up, this track had lots of significance for a lot people listening who were drawn to her tale of accepting and loving your self. Cara integrates messages about kindness and loving yourself in her songs. All of Cara's music stems directly from her struggles with depression, insomnia and other issues. According to an Reuters Interview, her album has been described as a semi-tumultuous and half-perfected. The therapy she received made her stronger and she encourages others to do the same. Alessia Cara was born to Italian parents on the 11th of July 1996. Alessia Cara's parents bought her an instrument when she was 10. It was the beginning of her journey with music. At the age of 13she began covering songs she adored on YouTube to prove to her fans that she was talented and was able to make a profession of an artist. In fact, one of the covers Sweater Weather was able to get her noticed by a label known as EP Entertainment which allowed her to write and create the songs.
