Andrea Jeremiah
Andrea Maria Jeremiah, an Indian actress and musician, is best known for her roles in Tamil as well as Malayalam films. She first made an appearance as an actor in Tamil movie Pachaikili Muthucharam as well as her Malayalam debut with Annayum Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah has an Anglo-Indian background. She was the daughter of a Madras High Court attorney. She has a younger sister currently working and living in Leuven Belgium in the role of Research Assistant. Jeremiah was born near Chennai and went to National Public School and graduated from Women's Christian College. Andrea was a young classical pianist who was also an avid geek. Young Stars is a Jackson Five kind of group which she joined at the age 10 that was the basis of her music and singing career. She was an actor at her college and was a part of in several productions in the form of The Madras Players, EVAM as well as other theatre companies. Andrea was President of the Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea began her professional stage career by appearing in Girish Karanad's Nagamandala. The role she played in 2006's brand new Leo Coffee advert was in the role of Shiva. In 2006, she starred in a series that was airing on Podhigai. She's performed all across India. She played a brief character in the finale of Kanda Naal Mudhal (2005). Gautham Vaisudev Menon performed in Vettaiyaadu's Vilaiyaadu. She was requested her to play the role of a female character in Pachaikili Muthucharam. This film was a film adaptation of James Siegel's novel Derailed with Andrea as Kalyani who is a housewife whose husband engages in an affair, and then is blackmailed. Andrea was cast in the film following Simran, Tabu, and Tabu had been approached. The film premiered at the start of 2010. Her minor role was accepted as part of Venkat's Mankatha in 2011 which starred a number of actors. In 2013, she was the first to debut in Malayalam film with Rajeev Ravi's romance film Annayum Rasoolum.
