She reported on sports for several of the largest outlets in the nation. She worked for The Washington Post nearly a decade covering Grand Slam Tennis and Grand Slam Football, as as basketball at multiple Olympics. Nichols was hired by ESPN in 2004 and spent nine years there, earning two Emmy Awards. She also featured on the most watched shows on ESPN such as SportsCenter and NFL Countdown. The show drew millions of viewers from all over the world. Nichols covered NBA shows on TNT as well as the regular season, playoffs and All-Star broadcasts. She also reported for TBS reporting on golf and baseball broadcasts as well as Final Four broadcasts on CBS.
